
Shrimp Feed Pellet Machine
Our shrimp feed pellet mill adopts ring die structure equipped with three-layer steam conditioner. During production, raw materials undergo crushing and mixing. With steam conditioning, starch gelatinizes, protein denatures, and material bonding strength improves greatly. Finally, materials are extruded and formed uniformly through ring die holes.

To prolong and control material retention time inside the conditioner, our pellet mill is fitted with three stacked-stage conditioners, also known as triple-layer conditioning system. Featuring series connection and multiple steam injection inlets, the equipment allows feed powder to pass through each layer sequentially. This fully mixes raw materials with steam and raises the powder ripening rate up to around 40%.

Steam conditioning is a key technology in pellet feed processing, directly affecting pellet internal structure and appearance quality. Two key factors for good conditioning are steam quality and conditioning time: high-quality dry saturated steam provides heat to raise material temperature and gelatinize starch; longer conditioning time increases starch gelatinization, resulting in denser, more stable and harder pellets. For ordinary livestock, conditioning temperature is 70-80℃ (adjusted by steam dosage) and time is about 30s (adjusted by conditioner length, blade angle and speed). For shrimp feed, triple-layer conditioners are usually used to increase temperature and extend conditioning time, improving pellet water stability and hardness.

Feed conditioners sterilize powders by killing heat-sensitive pathogens (e.g., Escherichia coli, Salmonella) at a specific temperature. This is low-cost, pollution-free, and free of drug residues/side effects, better than drug prevention.
Conditioners enhance pellet water resistance. Steam makes gelatinized starch and denatured protein act as binders; roller extrusion tightens particles, making pellets denser, smoother, and water-stable.
Conditioners improve granulation, increase output, save energy, and extend shrimp feed pellet machine die/roller life. They soften materials, reduce friction, cutting heat conversion and wear.
Livestock feed factories use single-shaft paddle conditioners (30s tempering, 20% starch gelatinization). Aquatic factories need three-layer ones (≥50% feed ripening).
